Setting up resource profiles
As a resource manager, you’ll need to add information to resource profiles, so you can find suitable resources when fulfilling resource requests submitted by project managers.
The SmartMatch tool available when searching for resources gives each resource a rating based on how closely their role, skill, and group assignments fit request criteria. Plus, you might want to do some manual checking of resource competencies to ensure a candidate is a good fit.
For those reasons, it’s a good idea to fill out resource profiles as completely as possible.
To complete resource profiles:
- Go to Resource Management.
- Click List.
- Select the name of a resource.
- Click the Edit button located in the top, right-hand corner of the page.
- Complete applicable fields, as described in the table below.
