Transferring ADP employees to Replicon
If you're using one of the ADP integration products available from the ADP Marketplace, you can easily add users from ADP to Replicon using Replicon’s user import integration.
Users will be automatically assigned all basic settings required to start using Replicon. For example, they’ll be assigned the ability to log in via SSO using ADP as a provider, and will be assigned the Replicon default pay rule for their state.
Before you carry out a user import, be sure you’ve first selected the defaults available on the ADP Connector configuration page.
You can carry out a transfer by clicking the Import button, available in two locations:
- The ADP Connector page located at Administration > Integration > ADP Connector.
Your initial import must be carried out from this page; your default selections will only be saved once you carry out an import here.
- The Users list page located at Administration > Employees and Organization > Users.
You'll see a Successfully imported users! message when the import is complete.
After you’ve transferred employees, never update a user’s login name, authentication type, or authentication ID, as these are all required to log in and map between Replicon and ADP.
The login name in Replicon doesn’t have to match the ADP login name – authentication is base on the authentication ID, which is the same as the user’s Associate OID in ADP. Authentication type must be set to SSO, so Replicon will use ADP SSO for login.
Replicon settings applied to imported users
Refer to the table below for settings that will be applied to users imported into Replicon from ADP. Fields not mentioned below will be set to use the Replicon new user defaults.
If you re-import a user whose settings have been edited in ADP, their settings will update in Replicon.
You can specify some of the new user defaults that will apply to imported users using the Administration > Employees and Organization > User Settings page.

1) If user updates apply to your instance, will be updated if the user is reimported.
2) Maps to Company Code code, not name, for the user's Primary Position. If you update their primary position, their company code will update in Replicon, using the new position's effective date. Each user's file number must remain unchanged; if a file number changes, the company code mapping may be lost.
3) Only configured if the user is set up as Hourly in ADP.
4) Available in Replicon for ADP RUN only; available as a user filter on the Payroll Workbench.
5) Used for notifications sent by Replicon system.
FAQs
How will users log in?
All imported users are automatically set up to use SSO authentication based on their ADP account. Since this authentication method uses a custom SSO provider, users will need to log in via the Replicon login page that supports those providers:
https://login.replicon.com/DefaultV2.aspx
Be sure to inform employees they’ll need to use this URL to log in. If they navigate to our default login page, they can find the custom SSO login page by clicking the Try our new login page icon above the login field.
Refer to How do I log in if I use a third-party app like Intuit or Google to authenticate? for more information.
Can we create a new user directly from the ADP Marketplace?
Yes, there is an option to do this. But note that users created via that option won’t be assigned a timesheet template, entry policy, permissions, pay rules or rates, and will be assigned the system default schedule (8 hours/day; Mon-Fri), and their Start Date will be set to the import date; You’ll need to update all of these settings manually.
Are the defaults listed the only ones I can specify?
No. You can specify certain other new user defaults that will apply to imported users on the User Settings page located at: Administration > Employees and Organization > User Settings.
What if the defaults we select don't apply to all users?
You can customize user settings after import by going to Administration > Employees and Organization > Users, and selecting users to edit. You can edit multiple users at once.
Will all users be imported?
Users who were previously imported will not be imported again. Only users with Active or Leave of absence status will be transferred from ADP.
If we disable a user in ADP, will they be automatically disabled in Replicon?
Yes, on the next user sync, they'll be set to disabled.
